Messy Church is an after-school family time on the second Tuesday of the month (except August) from 3.30 to 5.30. It includes games, crafts, worship and food!
Who can come?
It is an activity for children and parents/grandparents/carers: children must come with an adult, and adults must come with a child or children.
How much does it cost?
Messy Church like Sunday church is free. There is, however, a basket on the way in where you may leave a donation towards the cost of the craft materials and the meal.
What happen during the time?
Doors open at 3.30, and during the first half-hour snacks and games are available. At 4.00 organised craft activities begin, with a choice of four or five tables offering different projects. Children circulate among the tables, spending as much time as they like at one or more of the tables. Following, there is short celebration including singing, a story and a prayer. We then finish by eating a meal together (to save you having to think about cooking when you get home). We finish by 5.30pm.
